Owners Asking For A Lot To Start CBA Negotiations

According to reports, the owners have made their first proposal to the players part of the CBA negotiations.

They are said to be asking the players to reduce their revenues from 57% to 46%.  On top of that, 10 seasons would be needed to reach UFA, no contracts over 5 years long, no more salary arbitration, and 5 year entry level deals instead of 3.

Most seem to think this was more of a case of the owners reaching in their first proposal rather then the owners actually expecting to get that.  More then likely it will end up being a compromised version of that.
