KHL Rejects Visnovskys Contract

Update: According to a report the KHL issued a statement today saying that they will negotiate with the NHL to find a compromise in the Visnovsky case.

According to reports, this morning it was announced by KHL officials that they would reject Lubomir Visnovskys contract in Slovakia until his issue with the Islanders could be worked out.  Their actions are in accordance with the MOU they have with the NHL regarding players under contract in one league and playing in the other.

Arthur Staple reports that Visnovsky has a personal issue to tend to in Slovakia and could join the team in 2-3 weeks.
