BREAKING: Isles Resign Visnovsky to a 2 Year Deal

Update: According to his agent, Visnovskys contract includes a no move clause.

This means that Visnovsky can't be traded, waived, or sent down without his approval.

This is the first time that I can recall Garth giving out something like this.  It is big for the team that a vet player like Visnovsky wanted a NMC in his extension to stay here.  Could things really be changing around here?  We will just have to wait and find out.

According to Newsday, the Islanders have signed defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky to a two year extension worth 9.5 million dollars.

Well, color me impressed!!  The fact they got him to reup is a good sign for the team and hopefully is a sign of things to come.
