Islanders Sign Leduc To 3 Year ELC

This afternoon, the Islanders announced that they signed defenseman Loic Leduc to a three year entry level contract.  Leduc was a 4th round pick of the Islanders in 2012.  The Islanders took Leduc with the 4th round pick they received from Buffalo in exchange for the negotiating rights to Christian Ehrhoff.

With this deal, Leduc, 19, is slated to begin next season in Bridgeport.  With him and Joe Finley part of the Sound Tigers top 6 that defense is shaping up to be an intimidating defense to play against next season.

This season, his 4th in the QMJHL Leduc put up 15 points, 102 penalty minutes and a +13 rating split between two teams.
