Boyle To Decide By The End of The Week

According to reports, Dan Boyle will be vetting the Islanders this week talking to people he knows and such about the team.  By the end of this week he is expected to let the Islanders know if he is interested in getting contract talks with the team started or not.

By letting them know then, Boyle is allowing Garth Snow time to recoup the pick he gave up should he decide not to stay here.

The Islanders acquired the negotiating rights to Boyle last week from the Sharks in exchange for a conditional fifth round pick in next years draft.

George Bazos, Dan Boyle's agent, says Boyle will let #Isles know by end of this week whether he's interested in starting contract talks.
