Yesterday, the NHL released the Islanders schedule for their final season at the Nassau Coliseum.
As was reported on Saturday, they open the season on Friday October 10th at Carolina. The following night they get right back at with their home opener against the Hurricanes.
Other highlights of the season include 5 games against the rival Penguins and Rangers. Including 3 games at Nassau Coliseum against the Rangers after only having 1 game last season. Additionally, the final regular season game at Nassau Coliseum is scheduled for Saturday April 11th against the Blue Jackets. This is also the Islanders last scheduled home game of the season so there will be no road trip to finish out the season as there had been in previous years.
