Offensive Outburst Powers Isles Over Stars 7-5

Tonight, our Islanders, led by Frans Nielsen, out dueled the Stars 7-5 in an offensive showdown.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-Congrats to Frans Nielsen on his first NHL hat-trick.  Nielsen is out to prove last years career offensive year wasnn't a fluke and thus far he is doing a pretty good job.

-Chad Johnson needs to be better than he was tonight.  After his solid start the other night, Johnson really didn't bring his "A" game tonight.  I would be very surprised if we don't see Halak on Tuesday.

-The power play had more struggles again tonight.

-Congrats to Anders Lee on his first goal of the season.

-Good to see Brock Nelson get back on the board after going quiet for a couple games.

-Nice to see Kulemin finally put one to the back of the net.

Huge win tonight for the team!  With the win, the Islanders are now off to their second best start in team history.

Next Game: Tuesday @ Home VS Jets
