Pre Game: Islanders @ Senators

Tonight, our Islanders travel to Ottawa looking to extend their winning streak to three as they take on the Ottawa Senators in the back end of a home and home.  The Islanders were victorious in the front end of the home and home on Tuesday, defeating the Senators by a score of 3-2 in overtime at the Coliseum.

The goalie match up tonight features Jaroslav Halak for the Islanders.  With a win tonight, Halak will surpass Billy Smith's team record for most consecutive victories by a goalie.  Meanwhile, Craig Anderson will be in net for Ottawa.

The Islanders lineup will look a bit different tonight as Travis Hamonic has been added to the list of injured Islander defensemen.  With his absence, Griffin Reinhart will be in the lineup tonight after being called up yesterday.  The lineup up front has yet to be determined as Cal Clutterbuck is banged up.  If he can't go, Cory Conacher will see action for the first time in a few weeks.

With half their defense out with injuries, this game will be a huge test for the Islanders.  Especially Jaroslav Halak in net who will have to be on his game tonight in order to give the Islanders a chance to win and go to 12 games over .500.
