Halak to Join Tavares in All Star Game

According to reports, it was announced earlier today that Islanders goalie Jaroslav Halak was named to the all star game.

Halak is having a great year this season, his first with the Islanders.  With 23 wins already, he is on track to break the team record for wins by a goalie which currently stands at 32.  Additionally, he has a 2.22 GAA and a .917 save percentage.
As cool as it is to have a second Islanders representative named to the game along with Tavares, I was hoping that Halak would avoid getting named to the team so he can take the week off to rest.  He has shown time and again how valuable he is to the team and the week off would've done him more good than playing in the game will.
