Earlier today, the Islanders announced that decades night had been added to their promotional schedule. On April 4th, the team will welcome back Butch Goring, Shawn Bates, Ed Westfall, Pierre Turgeon, and Garry Howatt to the Coliseum.
On that day, season ticket holders will have the opportunity to meet the players in a special meet and greet from 4:30-6:30.
It is unclear if the team will welcome back any more players in the second half of the season. Two notable players who have yet to be welcomed back or scheduled for an event are John Tonelli and Ziggy Palffy.
