Isles Fall 2-1 to Bruins

Last night, our Islanders dropped their 4th game in their last 5 as they lost 2-1 to the Bruins.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-While Johnson wasn't great last night, he did give the team a chance to win which is all you can ask from your backup.

-While the power play did convert on their first attempt, they left a lot to be desired after that.

-On the contrary, although the penalty kill did give up a goal last night, they did kill off a couple as well which is progress.

-Surprising to see the physical game from Strome last night.  Not only fighting Torey Krug, but also mixing it up with Milan Lucic late in the game as well.

-Much like the Flyer game with Steve Mason, we have to give credit to Tukka Rask as well who played a solid game.

This is probably the toughest stretch this Islander team has gone through to this point in the season.  How they respond to this will tell us a lot about the team going forward.

Next Game: Tonight 5pm @ Buffalo
