Isles Fall To 3-2 Series Deficit

Tonight, our Islanders were defeated 5-1 by the Capitals.  This loss gave the Capitals a 3-2 series lead on the Islanders in their best of 7 first round series.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-While Halak didn't have his best game, he wasn't as bad as the score suggests.  A lot of mishaps around the net and a slow whistle did Halak in tonight.

-The power play continues to be pretty bad.  I am not sure what has to be done but something obviously has to because what they are doing now isn't working.

-The Islanders continued their solid job on Ovechkin who was pretty quiet tonight.

-Good on Anders Lee for taking on Wilson again!

-Would not shock me at all if Tyler Kennedy sits out Saturdays contest.

-While he has had a bad sophomore season, the potential loss of Calvin de Haan could be big with the Islanders already hurting on defense.

This certainly was not how this game was supposed to go.  This is setting up to be quite the emotional afternoon on Saturday in Uniondale.

Next Game: Saturday 4/25 vs Washington
